Daily Workout Drop

Privacy policy

Last updated: 27 August 2026

Daily Workout Drop is a local-first app: it works without an account, and your workout data stays on your device unless you choose to sign in. We don't run ads, we don't use third-party analytics or trackers, and we never sell your data.

Data stored on your device

Your profile settings (challenge level, equipment, excluded exercises, custom targets), daily challenges and workout logs, custom exercises, and in-app notifications are stored in your browser's local storage. If you never sign in, this data never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Data we collect when you create an account

Signing in uses your Google account. Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us; we store these to identify your account. We only ever display your first name (or a display name you choose) — your Google profile picture is never shown to anyone, including you.

Once signed in, a copy of your workout data (profile settings, workout history, programs, custom exercises) is stored in our database so it can sync across your devices.

What your buddies can see

If you join a buddy circle, other members of that circle can see your display name (or first name), your progress on the day's shared challenge, your current streak and total volume on the circle leaderboard, and any cheers or nudges you send. If a shared challenge uses one of your custom exercises, its name and instructions are shown to your circle. People outside your circle can't see any of this.

Feedback

When you send feedback or a bug report, we store your message, an optional contact email if you provide one, and basic diagnostic context (the page you were on, your browser user agent, and viewport size) to help us reproduce problems.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. That's it — no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no cross-site tracking.

Who we share data with

Nobody, beyond the service providers that run the app on our behalf: Google (sign-in), Supabase (database hosting), and Vercel (web hosting). They process your data only to provide the service. We never sell or rent your data.

Retention and deletion

You're in control. Deleting your account (Profile → Account → Delete account) immediately and permanently removes everything tied to it from our servers — profile, history, programs, custom exercises, buddy memberships, cheers, notifications, and any feedback you sent while signed in — and wipes the copy on your device. Signing out wipes the local copy on that device without touching the cloud, so a shared device doesn't keep your data.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions or concerns? Use Send feedback on the Profile page — it works whether or not you're signed in.
